At 16:49(4:49pm) hours station 45 and 94 were dispatched with station 2 to Route 973 Hwy for a vehicle over the embankment with entrapment. Station 45 and 94 responded with two engines, a heavy rescue, special unit, and two ambulances (one staffed MICU) with the total staff of 11. Portable 545 arrived on scene and confirmed reports of entrapment. Upon arriving on scene Rescue 45 and Squas2 went to work deploying Rescue 45's winch and rescue jacks to stabilize the vehicle. A work rope was used to remove an air compressor that was entrapping the patient before the patient was removed from the vehicle and brought up the embankment via stokes basket and roping. Patient was packaged and transported by MICU 94 crew. All units were ready for service at 17:27 hours. Chief 45 and 2 had command.
